02 Specification format
What a project looks like once it is written down.
The sheet alongside shows the shape of a private-label specification. The values are placeholders — on a real project each one is filled in with a decision you have agreed.
Two rows deserve particular attention. Quantity is by enquiry, and timing is by agreement. Northvale does not publish a minimum order quantity, a production capacity or a lead time on this website, because those depend entirely on the product, the material availability and the moment you ask.

Design
The product itself — proportion, construction and the details that make it recognisable as yours.

Material
Full-grain, split, vegetable-tanned, chrome-tanned or bonded leather, webbing or elastic.

Colour
Agreed against a physical reference, because screen colour will not match the material.

Dimension
Width, length, size range and proportion, set by the specification rather than a default.

Finish
Edge treatment and surface finish, confirmed against the material actually selected.

Hardware
Brass, nickel or matte black, polished or antique, fitted as part of the construction.

Branding
Embossing, hot foil or none, in an agreed position at an agreed size.

Quantity
