Where Northvale agrees to manufacture for you, that work is governed by the terms agreed for that specific order or project. Where those terms differ from anything on this website, the agreed project terms take precedence.
02 Website information is general
The information on this website is general and provided for information purposes. It describes the kind of manufacturing Northvale carries out and the materials, hardware, finishes and branding methods that may be involved. It is not a quotation, an offer to contract, a specification, a technical datasheet or advice about the suitability of any product for a particular purpose.
Product suitability depends on intended use, selected materials, construction, hardware, specification and agreed requirements.
03 Manufacturing scope is agreed individually
Materials, colours, hardware, finishes, dimensions, quantities, branding requirements, availability, production timing and final manufacturing scope are confirmed individually for each order or project.
Nothing on this website commits Northvale to manufacture any particular product, to accept any particular project, or to produce at any particular quantity or within any particular timescale.
04 Materials and natural variation
Availability of specific materials, colours and finishes may change, including between one production run and another. Where a material described on this website is not available for your project, an alternative is discussed with you rather than substituted without agreement.
Natural leather can vary in colour, grain and surface characteristics. Those variations are inherent to the material and are not defects. Northvale does not guarantee exact grain consistency, identical natural leather appearance between items, between hides or across repeat production.
05 Hardware availability and appearance
Hardware availability may change. Hardware appearance, tone and finish may vary slightly between production batches. Where a specific component or finish becomes unavailable, an equivalent is discussed and agreed with you.
No plating specification, metal-content statement, corrosion performance, hypoallergenic property or durability guarantee is made in respect of hardware on this website.
06 Finish and manufacturing tolerances
The exact finish of a manufactured product may vary within reasonable manufacturing and material tolerances. Handmade and hand-finished operations, and the behaviour of natural materials, mean that items within a run will not be identical to one another.
07 Quotations, quantities and timing
Quotations depend on the final agreed specification. A quotation given against a provisional specification may change if the specification changes.
Quantities are confirmed individually. Production timing is confirmed per order. No minimum order quantity, production capacity or lead time is published on this website, and none should be inferred from it.
08 Branding, artwork and customer specifications
Branding and artwork must be approved before production. Where production is based on customer-supplied specifications, artwork, designs, dimensions or technical files, the customer is responsible for:
- the accuracy and completeness of what is supplied;
- verifying that it is suitable for the intended product before production;
- holding all necessary rights, licences and permissions to use any logo, mark, design or artwork supplied to us.
Northvale is not responsible for errors that originate in customer-supplied information which has been approved by the customer for production.
09 Samples and prototypes
Samples and prototypes are produced only where specifically agreed, on terms agreed at the time. Nothing on this website constitutes an offer of free samples, free prototyping or free product development.
10 Colour reproduction on screen
Colours shown on a screen may differ from physical materials, because of screen calibration, lighting and the nature of the material itself. Colour is confirmed against a physical reference before production rather than from an on-screen image.
11 Third-party materials and hardware
Materials and hardware sourced from third parties may be subject to those manufacturers' own terms, specifications and limitations. Where that is the case, those terms apply to the component in addition to anything agreed with Northvale.
12 Production and commercial outcomes
Production outcomes are subject to the specification agreed for the project. Northvale makes no representation or guarantee about commercial outcomes, including sales performance, market reception or profitability of any product manufactured.
No lifetime guarantee, product-lifetime guarantee, waterproofing claim or performance certification is offered on this website.
13 Intellectual property in this website
The Northvale name, logo, wording, layout and design of this website belong to Northvale Clothing Ltd or are used with permission. Photographs sourced from third parties are used under the licences applying to them.
Certain atmospheric images on this website are generated illustrations used to convey a manufacturing environment. They are conceptual and do not depict Northvale premises, staff, customers or products.
14 Liability
We take reasonable care to keep this website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of anything harmful. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information published here rather than on a specification agreed for your project.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
15 Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
